About Together in Holiness

Where Spouses Discover God’s Plan for Their Family
Together in Holiness is a marriage conference series for dioceses that inspires spouses to grow together in holiness and empowers parents to form their children in the Catholic faith. To learn more about the Together in Holiness marriage enrichment initiative, click here.
  • "A one-day conference is so much more feasible for us in this era of raising littles, so Together in Holiness has become our annual conference to rejuvenate our marriage. I am so grateful for childcare, the great speakers, Adoration, Confession, and just time to have an uninterrupted conversation with my spouse!"

REV. RICARDO ARRIOLA
Pastor, Shrine of the True Cross, Dickinson

Father Ricardo was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, and is the youngest member of a large family, comprising nine siblings. His educational journey began at a young age, as he attended Catholic schools from Pre-K through College, where he received a solid foundation in both academics and moral values. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts with a minor in Animation, demonstrating a keen aptitude for creativity and design. At the age of 25, Father Ricardo relocated to Texas, where he embarked on a career as a Bilingual Teacher for the Alief Independent School District. His exemplary teaching skills and dedication to his students were recognized when he was awarded the prestigious title of Teacher of the Year. After five years in the field of education, he felt a profound spiritual calling to pursue the Priesthood, prompting him to set aside his professional aspirations. In 2012, Father Ricardo entered the seminary, marking the beginning of a transformative journey dedicated to spiritual growth and theological education. He attended the University of Dallas, where he engaged in the study of Philosophy, further deepening his understanding of the principles that underpin the Catholic faith. Subsequently, he continued his theological studies at St. Mary’s Seminary in Houston, Texas. Father Ricardo holds a Master’s Degree in Divinity and Pastoral Studies from the University of St. Thomas, along with an STB (Bachelor of Sacred Theology), an ecclesiastical degree in Theology that signifies advanced theological training and preparation for ministry. His commitment to serving others culminated in his ordination as a priest in 2019. Currently, Father Ricardo serves as the Pastor of the Shrine of the True Cross, where he continues to dedicate his life to the service of God and the community, fostering spiritual development and offering guidance to those in his care. His multifaceted background as a graphic designer, educator and now as a priest enriches his pastoral ministry, allowing him to connect deeply with individuals from diverse backgrounds and to nurture their spiritual journeys.
