Dr. Roland Millare, a native Houstonian, serves as the Vice President of Curriculum and the Director of Clergy Initiatives for the St. John Paul II Foundation (Houston, TX). Dr. Millare served as a member of the Theology Department at St. John XXIII College Preparatory (Katy, TX) for over 15 years. He received a BA in Theology from Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. He has a MA in Theological Studies (with a concentration in Moral Theology) from the Notre Dame Graduate School of Christendom College (Alexandria, VA) and a Licentiate (STL) and Doctorate in Sacred Theology (STD) in Dogmatic Theology (with a specialization in Sacramental Theology) from the University of St. Mary of the Lake (Mundelein, IL). Dr. Millare also serves as an adjunct professor of theology for permanent deacon candidates, seminarians, undergraduate and graduate students at the University of St. Thomas, St. Mary’s Seminary, the Diocese of Fort Worth and the University of Dallas. He has published various theological articles for Logos, Antiphon, New Blackfriars, Nova et Vetera, and the Heythrop Journal. He has published the book, A Living Sacrifice: Liturgy and Eschatology in Joseph Ratzinger (Emmaus Academic, 2022). Dr. Millare has also contributed an article to a forthcoming lexicon on the theology of Joseph Ratzinger (Ignatius Press). Dr. Millare is a member of the Fellowship of Catholic Scholars, Academy of Catholic Theology, and the Society for Catholic Liturgy. Dr. Millare enjoys the gift of life and love with his beautiful wife Veronica and their three children.
MARY STANFORD
Adjunct Professor, Christendom College
Mary Stanford, author of The Obedience Paradox: Finding True Freedom in Marriage, is a speaker, teacher, and writer on Catholic marriage and family life. She is an adjunct professor at Christendom College and has a master's degree in theological studies from the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family. She and her husband, Trey, are the parents of seven children.
RENZO AND MONICA ORTEGA
Co-founders of Two Become Family
Renzo and Monica Ortega are Catholic ministry leaders, podcast hosts, authors, and speakers. They host the popular marriage podcast, Two Become Family (also available on YouTube), and are co-authors of the children's devotional, Go to Joseph for Children. Renzo is also the author of the men's devotional, Go to Joseph. Their online marriage ministry, Two Become Family, has been featured in the National Catholic Register and EWTN's "Life on the Rock" show, and their conversion story has been featured in the documentary St Joseph: Our Spiritual Father. Many of their talks can be found on Catholic Lighthouse Media. Renzo holds a MA in Theology from Holy Apostles College and Seminary. The Ortegas live in Connecticut with their 5 children where they facilitate youth ministry and marriage prep ministry.
BARRETT AND JESSICA COUNTS

Married for 17 years, Barrett and Jessica met and fell in love on a confirmation retreat. High school sweethearts, they learned early on the joy of rich conversation, wholesome community, and working hard while having fun. They currently live in (and love) Galveston with their seven children. Barrett is an engineer at NASA and Jessica homeschools. They seek to inspire an everyday, ordinary holiness, an integration of self and family, and the embracing of one’s vocation, preferably around the kitchen table or whilst sea-gazing.
REV. JIM COURVILLE
Pastor, St. Helen Catholic Church
Fr. Jim was born in Catahoula, Louisiana on September 1st, 1949, and raised in Port Arthur, Texas. He attended Lamar University, and earned his Bachelors Degree in Theology and Psychology at the University of St. Thomas. Afterwards, he earned his Masters Degree in Theology at the University of Dallas in Irving, and attended summer sessions at Notre Dame.
In 1974, he was ordained a priest and assigned to St. Peter Catholic Church in Groves, Texas. He is currently the Pastor of St. Helen Catholic Church in Pearland, Texas, and will celebrate 50 years as a priest in 2024.
