Conference Date Change

As part of our mission to uphold the sanctity of life and family, the St. John Paul II Foundation is committed to the health and safety of all conference participants. We are closely monitoring local, state and Archdiocesan guidelines, and at this time, we remain hopeful that Together in Holiness will take place in some capacity.

Archbishop of San Francisco

Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone was born in San Diego on June 5, 1956. He attended public school through 12th grade and earned his BA in philosophy from the University of San Diego in 1978.  He earned a second bachelor’s degree in sacred theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in 1981.  Archbishop Cordileone was ordained to the priesthood on July 9, 1982.  He continued his studies at Gregorian University from 1985-89, earning a doctorate in canon law.   He was appointed Judicial Vicar for the Diocese of San Diego in 1990 and served as an assistant to the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura from 1995-2002.  On July 5, 2002, Pope John Paul II appointed him the Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of San Diego, where he served until his appointment as Bishop of Oakland on March 23, 2009. On July 27, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him as the ninth Archbishop of San Francisco.  He was installed on October 4, 2012.   Archbishop Cordileone chairs the Subcommittee for the Promotion and Defense of Marriage and sits on the Committee for Canonical Affairs.  He is a member of the Governing Board of the International Theological Institute and the Subcommission on the Liturgy for the Anglican Ordinariates.

Program Director, St. John Paul II Foundation

Joshua Bitting, Ph.D. (cand.) serves as Program Director at the St. John Paul II Foundation where he oversees development of a parish-based marriage enrichment program based on our Together in Holiness conference series and curriculum. Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, Joshua came into full communion with the Catholic Church on June 22nd, 2003, the Feast of Corpus Christi while completing his B.A. in philosophy at Southwestern College (Winfield, Kansas).  Joshua attended Franciscan University of Steubenville where he earned his M.A. in theology. Afterwards, he had the opportunity to study at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Santa Croce) in Rome, Italy. Since then, he has served the Church in various capacities at both the parish and diocesan levels. Currently, he is completing his Ph.D. in theology and catechetics from the University of Notre Dame, Sydney, Australia.  Joshua and his beautiful wife, Amanda, have six children, and enjoy sharing the Gospel of life in their primary vocation as spouses and parents.

Founder of Joyful Ever After

Damon Owens, international speaker and evangelist, is executive director of Joyful Ever After (joyfuleverafter.org). The first executive director of the Theology of the Body Institute and chairman of the 2016 International Theology of the Body Congress, Damon founded Joyful Ever After as a non-profit ministry dedicated to encouraging and educating couples to understand and live marriage and family life together with joy through St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body. A presenter at the 2015 World Meeting of Families, 2017 USCCB Convocation of Catholic Leaders, and 2019 Catholic Family Life Symposium, Damon keeps a full international speaking schedule at conferences, seminars, universities, high schools, seminaries, and parishes on the good news of marriage, sexuality, Theology of the Body, Theology of the Family, adoption, and NFP. In 2018, Pope Francis honored Damon with his Benemerenti Papal Medal in recognition for his work in support of marriage and family. Damon lives outside Philadelphia with his wife Melanie and their eight children. Damon has published numerous articles, appeared on many radio and television programs (EWTN, Catholic Answers, Ave Maria, Relevant Radio, Immaculate Heart Radio, ABC World News Tonight, CBS News, NPR), taught in many major Catholic faith programs, and has hosted and produced three 13-part television series for EWTN. He is also an accomplished gospel singer honored with a solo during the 1995 NJ Papal Mass at Giants Stadium presided by Pope St. John Paul II.

Director of Vocations and Priest Secretary of Archbishop

Rev. Cameron Faller was born and raised in Novato, CA and attended Marin Catholic High School in Kentfield.  After his first year studying engineering at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, his life took a dramatic turn during a pilgrimage to Lourdes, France. There he began to have a deep conviction that God was calling him to the priesthood and not too long after his return he began his seminary formation. He was ordained to the Priesthood for the Archdiocese of San Francisco on June 6, 2015. For the first four years of his priesthood, he was the associate pastor of Church of the Epiphany in San Francisco while also serving for two years as a teacher and chaplain at Archbishop Riordan High School. Currently, he serves as vocation director and priest secretary of Archbishop Cordileone.

Parochial Vicar, Church of St. Raphael

Rev. Kyle Faller is a priest for the Archdiocese of San Francisco and a graduate of St. Patrick’s Seminary and University, where he recently graduated with a Master of Divinity and a Sacred Theological Bachelors. Ordained in May of 2019, Rev. Faller serves as Parochial Vicar at Church of St. Raphael in San Rafael, CA.
