Important Information regarding Refunds, Cancellation, and At-Home Participants:
  • At this time, we remain hopeful that the Together in Holiness conference will take place as planned. Should circumstances change and the event be postponed, you will be notified as promptly as possible.

Childcare

  • Due to an inability to find childcare providers to assist at the conference, our staff has decided that it will not be feasible for us to offer on-site childcare for this year’s Together in Holiness conference.
  •
  • While we are unable to offer on-site childcare, our team would like to offer you the opportunity to register for an in-person ticket and receive our At-Home Childcare Kit. The activities in this kit are designed to allow your children to learn about the faith at home, as you participate in the conference. Our hope is that these resources will allow you and your spouse to have the day together, while supplying a babysitter/family member with the tools to foster a fun, learning environment of the faith for your children.
While we are unable to offer on-site childcare this year, we hope you will still be able to participate in the Together in Holiness conference. Our team would like to offer in-person registrants the opportunity to receive our At-Home Childcare Kit in lieu of on-site childcare. You and your families remain in our prayers!

Speakers

JOSHUA P. BITTING, PhD
Program Director, St. John Paul II Foundation

Joshua P. Bitting, Ph.D., serves as Program Director at the St. John Paul II Foundation where he oversees the Together in Holiness Formation series, a year-round marriage enrichment for small communities of spouses. Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, Joshua came into full communion with the Catholic Church on June 22nd, 2003, the Feast of Corpus Christi while completing his B.A. in philosophy at Southwestern College (Winfield, Kansas). Joshua attended Franciscan University of Steubenville where he earned his M.A. in theology. Afterwards, he had the opportunity to study at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Santa Croce) in Rome, Italy. Since then, he has served the Church in various capacities at both the parish and diocesan levels. He recently completed his Ph.D. in theology and catechetics from the University of Notre Dame, Australia. Joshua and his beautiful wife, Amanda, have seven children, and enjoy sharing the Gospel of the family in their primary vocation as spouses and parents.

REV. MATTHEW KAUTH
Rector, St. Joseph College Seminary

Father Matthew Kauth was born and raised in Peoria Illinois, where he attended Catholic grade school and high school. A trip to Italy changed his life forever when he witnessed an elderly woman kneeling on the rocks during outdoor Mass after their bus broke down. Her devotion destroyed his indifference to the Eucharist and the Church. He wanted to know what that woman saw in the Host and began searching. His search eventually led him to the priesthood. Fr. Kauth completed his studies in philosophy at St. Charles Borromeo in Philadelphia and transferred to the Diocese of Charlotte following graduation to assist in the missionary efforts faced with the burgeoning Catholic population. He completed his graduate work at Catholic University in Washington, D.C., earning his ecclesiastical degree (STB) and was ordained to the priesthood in 2000. After serving six years as a parochial vicar and pastor in the Diocese of Charlotte, he continued his studies in Rome and received a license and doctorate in Moral Theology. Fr. Kauth served as the Chaplain of Charlotte Catholic High School and a professor at Belmont Abbey College before he was appointed Rector of St. Joseph College Seminary in 2016. Fr. Kauth is the author of two books, "Charity as Divine and Human Friendship: A Metaphysical and Scriptural Explanation According to the Thought of St. Thomas Aquinas" and "The Sacraments: Discovering the Treasure of Divine Life".

KATHRYN WHITAKER
Author and Speaker

Kathryn Whitaker is an author, blogger and speaker. A sixth-generation Texan, she was raised an evangelical Protestant until she met her husband on a blind date at Texas A&M. On the eve of their wedding, Whitaker converted to Catholicism. Since 2007—with honesty, authenticity, and a healthy dose of sass—Whitaker has shared on social media what it’s like raising a raucous Catholic family, including a preemie, while balancing her writing, her love of the Aggies, and stocking the fridge with plenty of Dr Pepper. She has contributed to Blessed is She and Take Up and Read and has appeared in USA Today, EWTN, Ave Maria Radio, and is a regular guest on The Busted Halo Show with Fr. Dave Dwyer on SiriusXM. Her book, Live Big, Love Bigger, is currently in its third printing with Ave Maria Press. Kathryn and her husband, Scott, live with their family in Austin, Texas.

SPONSORS

At-Home Conference Experience

  • To accommodate those who are not comfortable attending an in-person event due to health concerns, the St. John Paul II Foundation is offering a special At-Home Conference Experience for this year’s Together in Holiness conference!
  •
  • The At-Home Conference Experience will be offered exclusively for this year’s event, and is designed to enable couples to participate in the Together in Holiness conference from within their own domestic church. While nothing can replace the communal element of the conference or the participation in the sacraments, we hope this option will serve as a reminder to couples and families that their response to the universal call to holiness begins at home.
