Greg Schutte achieved a Masters Degree in Social Work from Ohio State University and has an Independent License in Social Work. For the past 17 years, he has been the Director of Marriage Works! Ohio which is a department of the Elizabeth’s New Life Center in Dayton, Ohio. He is also a marriage therapist and the author of the Discovering Our Deepest Desire ( www.ourdeepestdesire.com ) Catholic marriage enrichment program and the Building a Eucharistic Marriage ( www.eucharisticmarriage.org ) Catholic marriage enrichment video series, which is being taught in several parishes throughout the Cincinnati Diocese and nationally. He has spoken at numerous national marriage events and has done several talks for Franciscan University’s Catechetical Institute. Greg and his wife Stephanie have been happily married for 30 wonderful years and they are the parents of 7 children. Greg also plays in the Catholic music band “ROMANS”.
MALLORY SMYTH
National Speaker, Author, and Podcaster
Mallory Smyth is a national speaker, author, and podcaster having authored the book Rekindled and Walking with Purpose Bible Studies. Mallory has been in full time ministry for the past 13 years. She has worked formerly as a FOCUS missionary and a content creator for Walking with Purpose. It is her dream to see Catholics fall deeply in love with God and grab hold of the joy offered in the Gospel. She lives in Denver with her husband and five children.
DEACON MICHAEL J. DEEM, PhD
Fellow, St. John Paul II Foundation
Deacon Michael J. Deem is a Fellow for the St. John Paul II Foundation. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Human Genetics, Director of the Multidisciplinary Master of Public Health Program, and Associate Director of Interprofessional Education in the Health Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. Deacon Deem received his Ph.D. in Philosophy at the University of Notre Dame and completed the Pediatric Ethics and Genomic Fellowship at Children's Mercy Hospital, Kansas City. He is the author of several articles and book chapters on philosophy of science, bioethics, ethical theory, and empirical health research. He is currently writing a book on concepts in genomic medicine and co-authoring a book on genetic counseling ethics. He is co-editor of two books for Oxford University Press: The Oxford Handbook of Genetic Counseling and Nursing Ethics: Normative Foundations, Advanced Concepts, and Emerging Issues. Deacon Deem was ordained to the diaconate for the Diocese of Pittsburgh in 2024, serving as a permanent deacon at Saint Aidan Parish in Wexford, Pennsylvania and as an Assistant Master of Ceremonies for the Diocesan Bishop. He lives outside Pittsburgh with his wife, Katerina, and their five living children.
KATERINA M. DEEM
Founder, Little Way Design Co.
Katerina lives with her husband and five living children in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. A chemical engineer by training, she worked in the oil industry for 10 years in Louisiana and Texas. She also holds a MA in Pastoral Studies from the University of St. Thomas, Houston. She founded and operates Little Way Design Co., a Catholic design studio that focuses on Catholic Bible tabs, apparel, decals, and greeting cards. With over two decades of experience in parish ministry, her diverse roles have centered around Faith Formation, Marriage Preparation, and Outreach ministries. She currently is the Graphic Designer and Digital Strategist at Divine Grace Parish in the Diocese of Pittsburgh.
