Refund Information: 
  • *If you are no longer able to attend the conference, after purchasing your ticket, you may choose to transfer your registration fees to a scholarship couple in need, or request a refund.
 
  • All refunds must be requested 2 weeks prior to the conference. The last day to request a refund is Friday, April 23. All refund requests made on or after April 24 will not be accepted, but the funds will automatically be transferred to a scholarship couple in need. Speakers

MARY CAPRIO, CFCP, MAT, MTS
Associate Fellow, St. John Paul II Foundation

Mary Caprio is the Director of Family Life for St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, as well as the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. She is also an Associate Fellow for the St. John Paul II Foundation, adjunct faculty at the University of St. Thomas in the theology department, and is a Certified Fertility Care Practitioner for the Creighton Model System. Mary attended University of Texas Health Science at Houston for her Bachelor’s in Nursing and Loyola University of Chicago for a Master’s in Nursing. Mary obtained a Masters of Arts in Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville and a Masters in Marriage and Family with a focus on Bioethics from the Pontifical Institute of John Paul II for Marriage and Family at the Catholic University of America. Mary is a local and national speaker on theology of the body, marriage, and family, and she is certified in Bioethics through the National Catholic Bioethics Center.

DANIELLE BEAN
Author, Speaker, and Podcaster

Danielle Bean, a wife and mother of eight, is creator and host of The Gist, a weekly Catholic women’s television talk show on CatholicTV and host of the Girlfriends podcast. Danielle is author of several books, including Momnipotent, You Are Enough, and most recent book, Whisper: Finding God in the Everyday. Danielle has a special heart for mothers, and she encourages women of all ages and stages of life to find humor in daily challenges and the joy God intends for every one of us. It is in her primary vocation to marriage and motherhood that Danielle finds the inspiration for all of her work.

JOHN AND TERI BOSIO
Authors of Marriage Enrichment Material

The Bosios are retired but remain active in parish and family ministry, serving parishes and dioceses around the country. They lead couples retreats and workshops on family ministry for deacons and priests. The Bosios wrote Joined by Grace, a marriage preparation program from Ave Maria Press. They produced three parish-based marriage enrichment programs: Six Dates for Catholic Couples, The Beatitudes: A Couple’s Path to Greater Joy, and  Four Dates for Catholic Couples: The Virtues. They also wrote Joined by Grace: A Catholic Prayer Book for Engaged and Newly Married Couples and Six Jars of Love: Loving Attitudes to Help Married Couples Reconnect.  The Bosios live in in Nashville, Tennessee, and have two daughters and one grandchild.

MOST REV. J. MARK SPALDING, JCL
Bishop of the Diocese of Nashville

Bishop J. Mark Spalding, the oldest of three children, was born on January 13, 1965, in Lebanon, Kentucky, and was baptized at Holy Trinity Church in Fredericktown, Kentucky. After graduating in 1983 from Bethlehem High School, Bishop Spalding attended college at Saint Meinrad Seminary, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in history in 1987. He attended major seminary at the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium where he earned an M.A. and an S.T.B. in Religious Studies in 1990. Bishop Spalding was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Louisville on August 3, 1991, by Archbishop Thomas C. Kelly, O.P. After ordination, he continued graduate studies at Louvain, earning his Licentiate in Canon Law in 1992. He returned to the Archdiocese in 1992 and served as associate pastor of the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral from 1992 to 1996. He was appointed part-time judge for the Metropolitan Tribunal in 1993, Adjutant Judicial Vicar in 1995, and Judicial Vicar and Director of the Metropolitan Tribunal from 1998 to 2011. From 1996 to 1998, Bishop Spalding was associate pastor of St. Augustine Church in Lebanon, Kentucky, and from 1998 to 1999, he served as a part-time associate pastor at St. Margaret Mary Church in Louisville. While continuing to serve as Judicial Vicar, Bishop Spalding was appointed pastor of Immaculate Conception Church in La Grange, Kentucky in 1999 and served there until 2011. Appointed Vicar General by Archbishop Joseph Kurtz in 2011, Bishop Spalding was also named pastor of Holy Trinity Church in Louisville that year. In 2016, Bishop Spalding was appointed pastor of Holy Name Church while continuing as pastor of Holy Trinity Church. Bishop Spalding served on the College of Consultors, the Priests’ Council, the Archdiocesan Planning Commission, the Development Council for the Archdiocese, and the Catholic Services Appeal Pastors’ Committee. Other assignments included serving as presbyteral moderator at two parishes as well as filling the role as priest-chaplain at Bethlehem High School from 1992 to 1996, and at Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville from 2011 to 2017. His appointment as the 12th Bishop of Nashville by Pope Francis was announced on November 21, 2017. His episcopal ordination and installation as the Bishop of Nashville was on February 2, 2018.
